According to Ian Rapoport, the Falcons have been cleared to go ahead with their Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears despite having a player land on the COVID-19 list yesterday.
Atlanta placed CB A.J. Terrell on the COVID-19 list on Saturday, but no other players or personnel tested positive per Rapoport.
The team also performed contact tracing to see if Terrell had exposed anyone else and it appears the league was comfortable giving the all-clear for the game to continue.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Terrell, 22, is a first-round pick by the Falcons in this year’s draft out of Clemson. He signed a four-year, $14.3 million rookie contract that includes a fifth-year option through 2024.
In 2020, Terrell has appeared in two games for the Falcons and recorded 11 total tackles and no interceptions.
