According to Joseph Person, the Panthers seem likely to retain ST coordinator Chase Blackburn under new HC Matt Rhule.
The two have familiarity with each other from their stint together with the Giants and Blackburn has interviewed multiple times with Rhule.
Blackburn, 36, played 10 years in the NFL with the Giants and Panthers. Carolina elected to hire him as their assistant special teams coach in 2016 and promoted him to ST coordinator in 2018.
According to Football Outsiders, Carolina had the No. 31-ranked special teams unit in 2019.
