The Carolina Panthers announced Sunday that they’ve signed TE Jason Reese to a contract and waived WR Fred Ross with an injury designation.
Should Ross clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Panthers’ injured serve list.
Ross, 23, wound up signing on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State following this year’s draft. Ross signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2018 season.
During his four-year college career at MSU, Ross caught 199 passes for 2,528 yards receiving to go along with 87 rushing yards and 23 total touchdowns over the course of 42 games.
