Ian R. Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that the Patriots have signed TE Daniel Fells to a three-year contract.
Fells is more of a traditional blocking tight end than a receiving option but that’s not a problem for the Pat’s considering that they already have the best tandem in the league with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.
Fells will also provide some addition depth in case something were to happen either of the team’s starting tight ends.
