ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have signed DT Cullen Jenkins to a five-year deal worth $25 million.
Once again the Eagles make a surprise signing after it seemed as though the Cowboys were the most likely to team to land him. By now there is no question that the Eagles are going all in for the upcoming season. This move likely adds to the fact that they’re going be shopping CB Asante Samuel which has already been reported by a number of media outlets.
As for the fit, Jenkins is a veryย versatile defensive lineman that has played both in a 3-4 and 4-3 while in Green Bay but there are questions about his ability to stay healthy. At 30, Jenkins should still have a few productive years left for the Eagles if he can remain in goodย condition.
