Adam Caplan reports that the Raiders are hosting veteran TE Luke Willson for a visit on Friday.
This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.
The Raiders have been the most active team in the free agent market this market and just recently lost Jared Cook to the Saints, so it’s possible they could add some more depth at the position.
Willson, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,338,532 rookie contract with the Seahawks and re-signed to a one-year contract in 2017.
The Lions elected to sign Willson to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million for the 2018 season and he’s been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Willson appeared in 14 games for the Lions and caught 13 passes for 87 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 57 tight end out of 70 qualifying players
