Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Raiders have released veteran QB Josh Johnson on Thursday.
Johnson, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012. Since then, Johnson has played for a number of teams including the 49ers, Browns, Bengals, Chargers, Jets, Colts, Bills, Ravens and Giants before catching on with Texans last season and finishing out the year in Houston.
The Raiders signed Johnson to a contract this past March.
