Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle confirms that veteran WR/KR Josh Cribbs has been released by the Oakland Raiders.
Once considered one of the most elusive players in the NFL, Cribbsย career is now in question. He signed a one-year deal worth $1.25 millionย with Oakland this offseason.
Cribbs ended his time in Cleveland with serious health issues, but was handed a lifeline to pick up his career in Oakland. However, knee problems and a declining lack of burst have robbed Cribb’s of his most dangerous asset as both a receiver and kick returner.
