According to Howard Balzer, the Oakland Raiders brought in veteran free agent LB Corey Nelson for a workoutย on Tuesday.
Nelson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,268,600 contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season before signingย one-year,ย $1.6 million contract with the Eagles this past March.
Unfortunately, the Eagles elected to release Nelson in a move that clearedย $1 millionย of available cap space. The Buccaneers brought him in for a workout, but he left Tampa Bay without a deal.
He signed on with the Falcons but was cut loose last month.
In 2017, Nelson appeared in five games for the Broncos and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
