According to Tom Pelissero, the Rams are hosting Mississippi State S Johnathan Abram on Tuesday.
Pelissero says many in the league project Abram to be the first safety off the board once the draft rolls around at the end of April.
The Rams hold the No. 31 pick in the first round.
Abram, 6-0 and 215 pounds, is a hard-hitting safety who Lance Zierlein compares to the Falcons’ Keanu Neal. He’s likely a late-first to early second-round pick.
Abram transferred to Mississippi State from Georgia following his freshman year. In two years for the Bulldogs, Abram recorded 170 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and 10 passes defensed in 25 games.
