The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed Sย Deshazor Everett toa multi-year extension.
Everett, 26, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out Texas A&M back in 2015. He lasted just a few months with Tampa Bay before he was cut and later signed by the Redskins.
Washington waived Everett at the start of the 2015 season and later added him to their practice squad before eventually promoting him to their active roster a month later.
In 2017, Everett appeared in 14 games for the Redskins and recorded 21 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 70 safety out of 87 qualifying players.
