ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have signed ILB Joe Mays to a two-year contract.
- Caplan adds thatย Mays will receive a two-year contract worth $6 million from the Chiefs.
Caplan previously reported that the Chiefs were interested in Mays, so it’s not all that surprising that they were able to get something worked in the early portion of free agency.
Mays, 28, had spent three years in Denver before they cut him loose last year. He would later catch on with the Texans where he played inย 14 games and totaledย 66 tackles and one sack.
