Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas firstย reported that the Cowboys have signed former Browns QBย Brandon Weeden to a two-year contract.

Weeden, 30, was taken with the No. 22 overall pick during theย 2012 NFL Draft, but last just two years with the Browns before they cut him loose earlier in the week.
The Cowboys still aren’t sure about the status of backupย Kyle Orton, but according to Todd Archer, theyย believe he’s leaning towards playing next season rather than retire from the NFL.
Either way, this could some insurance in the event that Orton decides to call it a career.
In 2013, Weeden appeared in eight games for the Browns and completedย 52.8 percent of his passes forย 1,731 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions.
