Report: Patriots Sign S Adrian Wilson

Mike Jurecki reports that the New England Patriots have signed free agent S Adrian Wilson to a three-year contract.

Wilson, 33, was one of a number of veteran players to visit with the Patriots on Wednesday. At one time, Wilson was widely consider the best safety in the league, but his play has dipped in recent years.

Bill Belichick is notorious for targeting intelligent veteran who are willing to sign for a reasonable amount of money for the chance to pursue a title. It seems like the Patriots are in need of secondary help every year, so we’ll have to see if Wilson if capable of solidifying the safety position for them next season.
