Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks have claimed RB Mike Davis off of waivers from the 49ers.
The 49ers elected to cut Davis loose last week and it appears as though Seattle would like to take a look at him in the coming weeks.
Davis, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft by the. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.28 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2016, Davis appeared in eight games for the 49ers and rushed for 50 yards on 19 carries (2.6 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 25 yards receiving and one touchdown.
