The Seattle Seahawks have placedย rookie WR Paul Richardson on season-ending injured-reserve Monday, perย Danny O’Neil of 710 ESPN.
- The Seahawks promotedย QB B.J. Daniels to their 53-man roster to takeย Richardson’s place.
No surprise here as reports surfaced Sunday night thatย Richardson sustained a torn ACL during their win over the Panthers this past weekend.
Seattle will have to lean on receiversย Jermaine Kearse, Bryan Walters, Kevin Norwood, and Chris Matthews for the remainder of playoffs.
Richardson, 22, still has another three years remaining on his rookie contract, but the fact that he sustained a serious knee injury so late into the season could impact his chances of being available for the start of the 2015 season.
This season, Richardson caught 29 passes for 271 yards receiving and a touchdown over the course of 15 games.
