Seahawks Sign 10 Players To Futures Deals Including S Pierre Desir

The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday that they’ve signed 10 players to future/reserve contracts including S Pierre Desir.

The full list includes:

2. WR Marcus Lucas
3. DB Pierre Desir
4. WR Kenny Lawler
5. RB George Farmer
6. DE Shaneil Jenkins
7. RB Malcolm Johnson
8. C Ross Burbank
9. RB Kelvin Taylor
10. DT Tylor Harris

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Desir, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.63 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

The Browns waived him coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Chargers. He was been on and off of the Chargers’ roster during the season before later signing on to the Seahawks’ practice squad.

In 2016, Desir appeared in four games for the Chargers and recorded three tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
