The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that OT Marcus Gilbert has officially returned from his four-game suspension.
Pittsburgh has a one-week roster exemption for Gilbert before they will need to make a roster move and add him to their active roster.
Gilbert’s four-game suspension was for violating NFL’s policy against performance-enhancing substances.
Gilbert, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Steelers back in 2011. He is currently entering the fourth year of his six-year, $30.815 million contract that included a $7.65 million signing bonus and is set to make a base salary of $3.95 million for 2017.
In 2017, Gilbert has appeared in five games for the Steelers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 11 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
