Steelers Tried Out Six Players

Howard Balzer reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in six players for tryouts a few days ago including LB Zaire Anderson.

The full list of workouts includes:

1. LB Zaire Anderson
2. LB Cory James
3. LB Tegray Scales (futures contract)
4. LB Robert Spillane
5. S Marcelis Branch
6. CB Sojourn Shelton

Anderson, 26, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2015. He has returned to the Broncos each of the last three years on one-year contracts.

However, the Broncos elected to waive him coming out of the preseason last year as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

In 2017, Anderson appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 23 total tackles, one fumble recovery, and scored one defensive touchdown.
