Steven Jackson Trade Rumors Dismissed

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is disputing reports that Rams running back Steven Jackson is dissatisfied with his contract.

There have been reports that the Rams could seek to release or trade Jackson if they take Trent Richardson in the Draft on Thursday, but the PD’s sources say those rumors are not coming from Rams Park. Furthermore, team officials said they were unaware of any request made by Jackson for a new contract.

Sources close to Jackson say he is not dissatisfied with his current deal, which will earn him $7 million in 2012 and 2013, but would be open to an extension to retire as a Ram.
