According to Brett Tessler, the Texans are promoting CB Cornell Armstrong from their practice squad to the active roster.
The Texans confirmed the move and announced they’ve waived CB Xavier Crawford.
Armstrong, 22, was selected by the Dolphins in the sixth round in 2018 out of Southern Mississippi. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2,578,408 rookie contract when the Dolphins waived him coming out of the preseason.
The Texans signed him in September and added him to their practice squad after cutting him loose.
In 2018, Armstrong appeared in 15 games for the Dolphins and recorded eight total tackles.
