The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday that they’ve hired Dolphins assistant special teams coach Marwan Maalouf as their new special teams coordinator and Rick Dennison as their OL coach/run game coordinator.
Maalouf began his coaching career as an assistant OL coach at Baldwin-Wallace College in 2000. From there, Maalouf worked for Fordam and Rutgers before taking his first NFL coaching job with the Browns in 2004 as their special teams quality control coach.
Maalouf would later work for the Ravens and Colts before the Dolphins hired him in 2012 as an assistant special teams coordinator.
According to FootballOutsiders, the Dolphins’ special teams unit ranked No. 21 in the NFL during the 2018 season.
