Based on the video of the play, David Chao believes Eifert suffered a right ankle fracture dislocation, which will end his 2018 season.

Eifert, 28, is a first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.256 million contract and finished the 2017 season under the fifth-year option.

The Bengals brought Eifert back on a one-year contract this past March and he’ll get another opportunity to test the open market in 2019.

Entering today’s game, Eifert had appeared in three games and caught 11 passes for 141 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Bengals.

We’ll have more regarding Eifert as the news is available.
