According to Howard Balzer, the Falcons signed C Trevor Robinson to a future/reserve contract on Tuesday.
The Falcons have now signed four players to futures deals including:
- WR Anthony Dable (NFLTR)
- K Mike Meyer
- TE Brian Vogler
- C Trevor Robinson
Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.
Robinson, 26, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012. The Chargers later signed him off of the Bengals’ practice squad in October of 2014 after they sustained a number of offensive line injuries.
San Diego elected to re-sign Robinson to a two-year, $1.7 million contract in March of 2015. However, the Chargers cut him loose back in July and later signed on with the Falcons.
Atlanta, unfortunately, decided to cut Robinson after spending just one week with the team.
In 2015, Robinson appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers.
