The Montreal Alouettes announced Thursday that they have officially signed former NFL receiver Chad Johnson to a contract.

Johnson, 36, tried out for the team this week and reports indicated that the Alouettes were actually quite impressed with him performance.
He last played in an NFL game back in 2011 while he was with the New England Patriots. Johnson would later sign with the Dolphins, although he didn’t last long as the team parted ways with him before the start of the 2012 season.
