Ian Rapoport reports that both the Vikings and Bears “love” Notre Dame LB Manti Te’o, which means that Minnesota would have to figure out a way to move up ahead of Chicago in order to ensure that they come away from tonight’s draft with him. Rapoport adds that the Vikings plan to do just that.
We’ve heard for weeks now that the Vikings have serious interest in Te’o, so it’s really not surprising that they would consider the idea of moving up a few spots to secure him. The Cowboys have said that they would consider trading down in the first-round and currently hold the No. 18 overall pick, which is two picks ahead of Chicago. This is just speculation on my part. We’ll have to see if Minnesota is serious entertaining a possible trade up in round one.
We have them taking Te’o at No. 23 and Xavier Rhodes at No. 25 overall in the first round of our 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
