49ers Signing Veteran WR Travis Benjamin

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the 49ers are signing veteran WR Travis Benjamin to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Benjamin, 30, was taken in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Browns. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.577 million rookie contract and signed on with the Chargers in 2016.

Last offseason, Benjamin signed a one-year extension through the 2020 season that included a $3 million signing bonus and reduced his 2019 base salary to $1 million.

In 2019, Benjamin appeared in five games for the Chargers and caught six passes for 30 yards before landing on injured reserve.
