AFC Notes: Bills, Chiefs, Jets

Bills

Bills QB Nathan Peterman struggled again on Sunday but told reporters after the game that he “doesn’t feel snakebit.

โ€œI donโ€™t feel snakebit,โ€ Peterman said, via Pro Football Talk. โ€œI never feel like Iโ€™m a victim or anything like that, you know? Itโ€™s football. Itโ€™s life. Things donโ€™t always bounce your way. โ€ฆ You just have to be able to take it how it comes, learn from it and keep fighting forward, and I think we showed a lot of fight out there today, and thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m proud of, really for our whole offense.โ€

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Bills RB Chris Ivory was taken to a level 1 trauma center for evaluations on his left shoulder.

Chiefs

  • Tom Pelissero reports that Chiefs S Eric Berry has made “serious strides” over the past month in regards to his heal injury.
  • Pelissero adds that Kansas City is “hopeful” Berry will be back in the next few weeks.

Jets

On Sunday, Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold threw four interceptions in a losing effort. After the game, Darnold said “there’s no excuse for how I played.”

โ€œThereโ€™s no excuse for how Iย played out there,โ€ Darnold said, via NJ.com. โ€œIโ€™ve got to play better. โ€ฆย Iโ€™ve just got to be sharper. I have to have a better plan once I get to the line of scrimmage. Iโ€™ve just got to know exactly where to go with the ball, and if one or two is not there [in the read progression], go to three. Iโ€™ve just got to have a better plan.โ€
