Bears Re-Signing RB Benny Cunningham

According to Joel A. Erickson, the Bears have agreed to terms with RB Benny Cunningham on an undisclosed contract.

Cunningham visited with the Saints on Monday, but Erickson says that he’ll be returning to Chicago for the 2018 season.

Cunningham, 27, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in 2013. After four years with the Rams, the Bears signed him to a one-year contract last March.

Cunningham was testing the open market for the second time in as many years.

In 2017, Cunningham appeared in 14 games and rushed for 29 yards on nine carries (2.1 YPC) to go along with 20 receptions for 240 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 147 kick return yards.
