On Tuesday, Raiders HC Jon Gruden announced that QBs coach Brian Callahan will become the Bengals offensive coordinator under Zac Taylor, who is expected to be hired as the team’s head coach after the Rams’ season ends.
Recent reports had said that Callahan was someone to watch for the Bengals’ offensive coordinator job, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
It’s also possible that Callahan’s father, Bill, could join the Bengals staff in some capacity.
Callahan began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at UCLA back in 2006. He later joined the Broncos and worked his way to QBs coach before joining the Lions in 2016.
The Raiders hired Callahan as their QBs coach under Jon Gruden last year.
