According to Howard Balzer, the Bengals brought in seven free agents for workouts on Tuesday, including OT Josh Wells and G Ryan Groy.

- G Bryan Witzmann
- OT Josh Wells
Wells, 28, wound up going undrafted out of James Madison back in May of 2014 before signing a three-year, $1.53 million contract with the Jaguars.
The Jaguars picked up Wells’ option for the 2018 season this past February and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent before re-signing with Jacksonville.
He was among the Jaguars final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Well appeared in five games for the Jaguars before he was placed on injured reserve. The Jaguars designed him to return from injured reserve and he was able to play in two more games before the end of the season.
Groy, 28, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in 2014. After signing onto Chicago’s practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster to finish his rookie season.
Chicago wound up trading him to the Patriots in exchange for LB Matthew Wells in August of 2015 but was waived from New England with an injury settlement after just one month.
After signing with the Buccaneers’ practice squad, the Bills signed him to their active roster in November 2015 and re-signed two a two-year, $5 million as an exclusive rights free agent through the 2018 season.
Groy signed with the Saints as an unrestricted free agent this offseason but was among their final roster cuts this preseason.
In 2018, Groy appeared in 15 games for the Bills and started six games.
