Bills Expected To Sign LB Darron Lee

Update:

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills are expected to sign LB Darron Lee either to their active roster or practice squad once he passes the COVID-19 protocols.

Per Field Yates, the Bills are hosting free-agent LB Darron Lee for a visit this week.

Lee would provide additional depth for Buffalo at linebacker after the position has been hit hard by injuries.

This is Lee’s second workout with Buffalo. He served a four-game suspension to start the 2020 season.

Lee, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Jets back in 2016. He was in the final year of his four-year, $10.221 million contract when the Jets declined his fifth-year option for the 2020 season.

From there, the Jets traded Lee to the Chiefs for a sixth-round pick. He has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent since March.

In 2019, Lee appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 29 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

We have him included in our Top 50 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
