Ivory became expendable after the Bills signed RB Frank Gore earlier this offseason. Per Mike Rodak, the Bills will save $2.156 million in cap space by cutting Ivory.
Ivory, 31, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in 2010. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was traded to the Jets for a fourth-round pick.
Ivory signed a five-year, $32 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Jaguars back in 2016, but lasted just two years in Jacksonville before he was released this past February.
The Bills later signed Ivory to a two-year contract worth $5.5 million.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing will free up $2,156,250 of available cap space while creating $750,000 in dead money.
In 2018, Ivory appeared in 13 games for the Bills and rushed for 385 yards on 115 carries (3.3 YPC) and one touchdown to go along with 13 receptions for 205 yards receiving.
