Broncos Interviewing Mike Shula For QB Coach

According to Ryan O’Halloran, the Broncos are interviewing former Giants OC Mike Shula for their QB coach vacancy.

Shula worked for current Broncos OC Pat Shurmur when the two were together with the Giants for two seasons, so there would be some familiarity if he were to be hired.

Shula, 54, began his NFL coaching career back in 1988 as an offensive assistant for the Buccaneers. He later worked for the Dolphins, Bears and Jaguars before being hired as the Panthers QBs coach in 2011.

Carolina promoted Shula to offensive coordinator a few years later and he remained in the position for the five seasons. Shula joined the Giants in 2018.

In 2019, New York ranked No. 23 in yards per game, No. 18 in scoring, No. 18 in passing yards per game and No. 19 in rushing yards per game.
