According to Mike Klis, the Broncos will let DL Adam Gotsis hit the free-agent market.
Klis says Gotsis had knee surgery near the end of last season on a torn ACL and may not be ready to return to the field until a month into the regular season. Gotsis finished 2019 on injured reserve.
Gotsis, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2016. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $3.9 million contract and made a base salary of $986,987 for the 2019 season.
Gotsis is in line to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2019, Gotsis appeared in nine games for the Broncos and recorded 16 tackles, no sacks and two pass defenses. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 83 interior defender out of 113 qualifying players.
