According to Ryan O’Halloran, the Broncos officially re-signed restricted free agent DT Shelby Harris to a second-round tender on Tuesday.
Denver also re-signed exclusive rights free agents WR Tim Patrick and LB Joe Jones.
The second-round tender will cost the Broncos $3.095 million for the 2019 season.
Harris, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. Heโs been on an off of their practice squad over the past two years but returned to the Raiders on a one-year, exclusive rights deal.
Unfortunately, the Raiders waived Harris after the 2016 draft and he had brief stints with the Jets and Cowboys before signing a futures deal with the Broncos for the 2017 season.
Denver brought Harris back last year on an exclusive rights contract.
In 2018, Harris appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 39 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception and four pass defenses.
Patrick, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Utah back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,00 over the first two years of the agreement when the Ravens waived him.
The 49ers claimed him off of waivers before eventually cutting him loose as their trimmed their roster down to 53 players. Patrick has been on and off of the Broncos’ practice squad since.
In 2018, Patrick appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos, catching 23 passes for 315 yards (19.7 YPC) and one touchdown. He also rushed three times for 17 yards.
Jones, 25, was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern in 2017. He was waived in final cutdowns and spent time on both the Chargers and Seahawks practice squads.
The Broncos signed Jones off the Seahawks practice squad late in 2017, then signed him to a futures deal for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Jones appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos, recording 13 total tackles.
