Eric Williams reports that free agent K Caleb Sturgis is scheduled to visit with the Chargers on Friday after completing his visit with the Seahawks today.
This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.
Sturgis, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He spent two years in Miami before he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season.
The Eagles signed him to a contract a few weeks later and he received a one-year extension in 2016. He’s now an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Sturgis appeared in one game and converted all three of his field goal attempts including one over 50 yards, but was placed on injured reserve with a hip flexor the following week.
