Update:
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports thatย Cardinals WRย Michael Floydย is expected to miss just three weeks with dislocated, not broken, fingers.

Jason La Canfora reports that Cardinals WRย Michael Floyd will end up missing roughly sixย weeks after he sustained three broken fingers during Wednesday’s practice.
- Ian Rapoport confirms the news and adds that Floyd will likely miss the start of the season.
This leaves Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown for large workloads at the start of the regular season.
For what it’s worth, La Canfora mentions that fifth-round WR J.J. Nelson could be asked to pick up some of the slack while Floyd is out of the lineup.
Floyd, 25, exercised Floyd’s fifth-year option, which means he’s under team control through the 2016 season. He’ll makeย $7.320 million next year, but this figure is guaranteed for injury only and wouldn’t prevent them from working out a long-term deal.
In 2014, Floyd appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and caught 47 passes for 841 yards receiving and six touchdowns.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 receiverย out of 110 qualifying players.
