Chargers Re-Sign LB Tre’von Johnson To P-Squad

The Los Angeles Chargers officially re-signed LB Tre’von Johnson to their practice squad on Saturday.

Here’s the Chargers updated practice squad:

  1. DE Patrick Afriyie
  2. DE Anthony Lanier
  3. S A.J. Hendy
  4. WR Andre Patton
  5. QB Cardale Jones
  6. G Spencer Drango
  7. TE Vince Mayle
  8. WR Justin Liggins
  9. LB Tre’von Johnson

Johnson, 23, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State back in 2017. He agreed to a three-year, $1.66 million contract, but was cut loose by Dallas coming out of the preseason.

Johnson later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad and had a brief stint with the Seahawks before the Chargers signed him to their taxi squad a few months ago. He was eventually promoted to the Chargers’ active roster before being waived earlier in the week.

In 2018, Johnson has appeared in four games for the Chargers and recorded three tackles.

During his four-year college career, Johnson appeared in 46 games and recorded 258 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He was a first-team All-Big Sky selection in 2016.
