According to Adam Caplan, the Chiefs brought in free agent WR Kenny Lawler for a workout on Tuesday.
Lawler, 22, was a seventh-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2016 NFL Draft. Seattle decided to waive him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit but signed him to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
The Seahawks, unfortunately, cut Lawler from their practice squad last week. This is the first team to show interest in him since becoming a free agent.
He also worked out for the Eagles this week but has yet to be signed to a contract.
During his three years at California, Lawler recorded 143 receptions for 1,706 yards receiving and 27 touchdowns.
