The Tennesseean reports that Chris Johnson still considers himself to be the best back in the league.
โI know it is one of those โWhat have you done for me lately?โ situations,โ Johnson said. โPeople are not going to look at me as the No. 1 running back in the league. There are people out there who arenโt going to give me the respect I deserve. But at the end of the day it doesnโt matter what anybody else thinks.
โI feel I am still the best back in the league, and I have no problem saying that. None of the active backs have done anything that I have done in the first four years, even though I had a bad year last year.”
Johnson is coming off a disappointing 2011, where he averaged a career-low 4.0 yards per carry. Furthermore, in five games last year, Johnson ran for less than 25 yards.
