Chris Johnson Still Believes He’s Best RB In NFL

The Tennesseean reports that Chris Johnson still considers himself to be the best back in the league.

โ€œI know it is one of those โ€˜What have you done for me lately?โ€™ situations,โ€ Johnson said. โ€œPeople are not going to look at me as the No. 1 running back in the league. There are people out there who arenโ€™t going to give me the respect I deserve. But at the end of the day it doesnโ€™t matter what anybody else thinks.

โ€œI feel I am still the best back in the league, and I have no problem saying that. None of the active backs have done anything that I have done in the first four years, even though I had a bad year last year.”

Johnson is coming off a disappointing 2011, where he averaged a career-low 4.0 yards per carry. Furthermore, in five games last year, Johnson ran for less than 25 yards.
