Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel writes that Packers LB Clay Matthews is targeting a Week 15 return from his hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last few games.
Head coach Mike McCarthy added that he expects Matthews to practice in pads on a limited basis due to the limits on the number of padded practices that players are allowed to participate in over the course of the season.
Green Bay is really hurting in regards to their pass rush. They’re actually considering using only 4 defensive lineman against the Lions, so getting Matthews back for a huge divisional matchup against Chicago would be a big help. The Packers are also preparing Charles Woodson to return next week as well.
