Colts C Deyshawn Bond Suffers Quad Tear

Mike Wells of ESPN reports that Colts C Deyshawn Bond suffered a torn quad during Sunday night’s game against the Seahawks.

Bond was filling for Ryan Kelly, who has been out since training camp, but was replaced by Adam Redmond after he went down with the injury just a few plays into the first quarter.

It seems likely that Bond’s quad tear is fairly serious, which means it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Colts place him on injured reserve.

Bond, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati back in May. He stands set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.

This season, Bond has appeared in all four games for the Colts.

We’ll have more regarding Bond as the news is available.
