Colts Waive WR Trey Griffey From Injured Reserve

The Indianapolis Colts officially waived rookie WR Trey Griffey from injured reserve on Friday.

Griffey, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts an undrafted free agent out of Arizona back in May. He stands to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2017 season.

Griffey reverted to the Colts’ injured reserve after he was waived with an injury designation back in June.

During his college career at Arizona, Griffey caught 79 passes for 1,241 yards receiving and six touchdowns over the course of 35 games.
