Concern Dolphins WR Albert Wilson May Have “Serious” Hip Injury

Update:

According toย Ian Rapoport, Dolphins WRย Albert Wilsonย is visiting a specialist to determine the severity of his hip injury.

Rapoport says that Wilson is specifically dealing with aย labrum issue that is considered to be “significant” but it remains to be seen if it’s a season-ending issue.

Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Dolphins WR Albert Wilson, said Sunday night during an interview with WSVN that his client appears to have suffered a โ€œsignificantโ€ hip injury, per Joe Schad.

According to Rosenhaus, the best-case scenario for Wilson is that he misses a few weeks while the worst-case scenario is that he’s done for the season.

Wilson, 26, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia State back in 2014. He finished the final year of a three-year, $1,540,000 contract before returning to the Chiefs on a one-year restricted deal worth $1.797 millionย for the 2017 season.

The Dolphins signed Wilson to a three-year, $24 million contract that includes $14.45 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $790,000 and $6.975 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Wilson has appeared in seven games for the Dolphins and caught 26 passes for 391 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Wilson as the news is available.
