Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports thatย Cowboys will host free agent CBย Patrick Robinson for a visit next week.
Dallas is also hosting free agent RB Alfred Morris next week, so it looks like they’re getting much more active in the openย market now that we’re in the second wave of free agency.
Robinson is one of the best available cornerbacks and could prove to be a value signing for a team in 2016.
Josina Anderson of ESPNย previously reported that he could have interest from theย Giants, Eagles, Bears andย Dolphins, but this is the first we’ve heard about the Cowboys being an option.
Robinson, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract for the Saints before signing a one-year deal withe Chargers last year.
In 2015, Robinson appeared in all 16 games for the Chargersย and recorded 49 tackles, oneย interception, a forced fumble and eightย pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No.ย 30 cornerback out of 111ย qualifying players.
We haveย him featuredย in ourย Best Available Free Agents list.
