Cowboys Hire Lionel Vital As Senior Personnel Executive

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the Cowboys are expected to hire former Falcons executive Lionel Vital as a senior personnel executive in their front office.

Vital, 52, has spent three years as the Falcons’ director of player personnel after holding a position as associate director of player personnel and assistant director of player personnel from 2007 to 2011 with Atlanta.

Vital has also held scouting positions with the Ravens, Patriots and the Jets over the years and received the Fritz Pollard Alliance Scouting Award during his time in Baltimore, which is given to the top African-American scout each in the AFC and NFC.

Back in January, Vital was among the candidates to interview for a front office position with the Browns.
