ESPNโs Adam Schefter reports that the Dallas Cowboys have re-signed TE Jason Witten to a five-year $37 million contract which includes $19 million in guaranteed money.
Witten had two seasons still remaining on his contract which would have paid him $3.39 million in 2011 and $3.64 million in 2012.
Witten is coming off of an incredible season and his importance to the Cowboys offense remains unquestioned as heโs a solid receiving option and a great blocker up front for them.
Good move for the Cowboys as heโs their most valuable player on the offensive side of the ball.
