According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys will not tender a contract to restricted free agent S Darian Thompson and allow him to become an unrestricted free agent next month.
Archer does add that the Cowboys are interested in re-signing Thompson at a lower price and plans to speak with his agent at the Combine this week.
Thompson, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He spent just over two years in New York before the Giants waived him with an injury settlement last year.
Thompson later signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad before the Cowboys added him to their active roster.
In 2018, Thompson appeared in 10 games for the Cowboys, but did not record a statistic.
