According to Adam Caplan, the Cowboys recently worked out 14 players including WR Josh Boyce and QB Sean Renfree.
- Caplan mentions that LB Ryan Davis and DT Leon Orr were also a part of the tryouts.
- Of this group, the Cowboys signed Davis to a contract.
Boyce, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2013. He spent two years in New England before he was waived with the injury designation at the start of the 2015 season.
Unfortunately, Boyce sat out the entire 2015 season after no team signed him to a contract.ย The Colts elected to bringย Boyce this past April, but he didnโt even make it to roster cuts before being waived.
Boyce last appeared in an NFL game during the 2014 season while he was with the Patriots.
Renfree, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He is in the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contractย and setย to make a base salary ofย $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Falcons cut him loose a few weeks ago.
In 2015, Renfree appeared in two games for the Falcons and completed three of seven pass attempts for 11 yards and an interception.
